DESCRIPTION

Antique Dutch Delftware five piece garniture comprising three covered baluster vases and two flared beaker vases.
Hand painted in cobalt blue with figures in landscapes, trees, floral details, and ornamental borders.
The three covers are decorated with sculptural bird finials.
Traditional blue and white decoration contrasts with the pale tin glazed ground.
An attractive period garniture displaying substantial age-related wear and historic restoration.

COLLECTOR’S NOTE

Delftware garnitures were produced as coordinated decorative groups for display in European interiors.
Blue and white examples with landscape decoration remain characteristic of Dutch ceramic production of the period.
