Elegant Chinese Peking Glass snuff bottle with a softly translucent body, finely decorated using the inside-painted
(Neihua) technique. The decoration depicts a traditional mountain landscape with layered peaks, trees, pavilions
and a small scholar figure in a serene natural setting.Executed in monochrome black tones. The cylindrical form
with gently rounded shoulders enhances the panoramic composition across the surface.

Collector’s Notes:
Inside-painted snuff bottles gained popularity in the Qing Dynasty and continued into the 20th Century, admired for
the technical precision required to paint in reverse through the narrow opening.Landscape scenes such as this
reflect the influence of traditional Chinese literati painting, symbolizing harmony with nature and scholarly retreat.
