Fine Chinese export Porcelain tea cup decorated with a European Armorial crest. The central
shield features heraldic animals including a Lion and additional beasts within a divided shield,
surmounted by a stylized bird crest. The rim is finished with a deep cobalt blue band
highlighted with gilt decoration, typical of high-quality Qianlong period export porcelain.

Collector’s Notes:
Chinese Armorial Porcelain was produced in Jingdezhen during the Qianlong Dynasty for wealthy European
families who commissioned their heraldic coats of arms to be painted on porcelain services.
