DESCRIPTION

Fine Chinese Export porcelain cup made during the Qianlong period for the American market.
Decorated with a sepia harbor or shipyard landscape enclosed within a rich cobalt blue and gilt medallion.
The scalloped rim is enhanced with an attractive blue and gilt border, while the handle features molded blue floral accents.
An appealing early export example displaying the elegant enamel decoration characteristic of late 18th century production.

Chinese Export porcelain produced during the Qianlong period was made for overseas markets and often featured landscape scenes tailored to Western tastes.
