DESCRIPTION
Japanese porcelain stem bowl decorated in a striking combination of underglaze blue, brown enamel, and gilt ornament.
The exterior features repeating geometric motifs highlighted with gold decoration against a deep brown ground.
Blue and white key-fret borders frame the upper rim, while the foot is decorated with scrolling floral designs.
Finely potted with a broad rounded body raised on a short pedestal foot.
An attractive decorative example of Meiji period Arita porcelain.
