A small Indian brass pin tray of circular form with a shallow raised rim. The underside displays concentric turning marks together with a small punched mark. A compact decorative piece with an appealing warm golden patina and traditional floral character.

COLLECTOR’S NOTE

Small engraved brass trays and dishes were widely produced in India during the 20th century as decorative and functional metalware. Floral and foliate engraving is characteristic of this tradition, with individual examples showing considerable variation in hand-cut ornament and surface finish.
