DESCRIPTION

Fine Chinese export porcelain saucer decorated in the famille rose palette with scattered floral sprays and pink blossom motifs. The rim is finished with an elegant iron red scrolling border framing the composition. Delicately potted with a shallow form and clean white glaze typical of Qianlong export porcelain. Attractive hand painted decoration with soft enamel tones and refined detailing.

COLLECTOR’S NOTE

Qianlong period famille rose porcelains were produced in large quantities for both the domestic Chinese market and European export trade. Floral compositions such as this remained highly desirable for their delicate enamels and refined Rococo inspired decorative borders.
