DESCRIPTION
Delicate Chinese export porcelain saucer decorated in the famille rose palette with a central floral bouquet in pink, purple, green and iron red enamels. The cavetto is bordered by a simple green dotted garland with scattered floral sprigs around the rim. Finely potted with a clean white ground and restrained elegant decoration typical of mid 18th century export wares. A charming example of Qianlong period table porcelain.
COLLECTOR’S NOTE
Famille rose porcelains became highly fashionable during the Qianlong period for both domestic and export markets. Floral designs such as this were especially popular in Europe, appreciated for their refined color palette and delicate hand painted decoration.
