CONDITION
FAIR (3/5) – Overall good display condition with age-related crazing across the glazed surface. Visible hairline cracks to the porcelain body. Metal mount shows age-related wear and patina. Hinge functions and the box opens and closes. Please review the photos carefully for more details.
DESCRIPTION
An attractive French porcelain snuff box of shaped form with finely hand-painted enamel decoration. The lid depicts an elegant lady and gentleman in conversation within a pastoral landscape, while the sides and interior are decorated with delicate floral sprays highlighted with gilding. The box retains its original metal mount and clasp. A charming 18th-century decorative object suitable for display or collection.
