๐Ÿ“œ Description
This expressive studio pottery chalice is hand-thrown and richly textured, featuring a deeply impressed organic relief pattern running vertically around the bowl. The glaze displays variegated earthy hues of ochre, rust, and dark brown, characteristic of mid-century British studio pottery. The pieceโ€™s sculptural surface and hand-built feel give it an almost Brutalist or organic modernist presence.

Collectorโ€™s Notes: Likely produced by an independent British potter during the mid-to-late 20th century, this chalice embodies the craft revival movement that emphasised texture, natural materials, and expressive glazing. Comparable in style to the works of Leach-influenced and studio sculptural makers of the 1960sโ€“1980s.
