An antique English porcelain teapot cover, finely decorated with a red transfer-printed chinoiserie landscape, further enriched with overglaze orange-red enamel and delicate floral embellishments. The domed form is surmounted by a dramatic rococo-style knop shaped as a stylised fruit with scrolling foliate surround, picked out in white glaze.

The design includes charming elements such as pavilions, trees, and bridges, enclosed within a diaper ground and outlined by hand-painted iron-red lines. Likely from Staffordshire or possibly Worcester, this lid dates to the early-to-mid 19th century, circa 1830–1850.

🧧 Collector’s NoteTeapot lids are among the most fragile elements of tea wares, and complete surviving examples—especially with this level of detail—are prized by collectors. This cover is a vivid example of English hybrid porcelain or pearlware production, with influence from both Chinese export porcelain and English Rococo design.
