Fine Chinese Peking Glass snuff bottle of flattened oval form with a translucent body and dark overlay
rim and foot.The bottle features delicately painted figural scenes, likely executed in the inside-painted
(Neihua) technique, depicting a scholar and attendant within a landscape setting of trees, pavilion and
distant mountains

Collector’s Notes:
Inside-painted snuff bottles became highly popular during the late Qing and into the 20th Century, admired for
the technical skill required to paint in reverse through the narrow neck.
