DESCRIPTION

An attractive Chinese Yongzheng period porcelain saucer decorated in famille rose enamels. The center is painted with a large pink peony blossom surrounded by smaller floral sprays in vibrant enamel colors. The border is divided into shaped reserves containing stylized flowers and scrolling foliage separated by geometric scroll bands. The delicate palette and fine line work are characteristic of early Qing famille rose porcelain. A visually appealing example despite restoration.

COLLECTOR’S NOTE

Yongzheng period famille rose porcelain is highly regarded for its refined enamels and elegant decorative balance. Small saucers with segmented panel borders were produced for both domestic use and export markets during the early 18th century. Even restored examples remain collectible due to the quality and charm of Yongzheng enameling.
