DESCRIPTION

A Chinese porcelain vase of compact baluster form, finished in a pale grey-green celadon glaze inspired by traditional Ge and Guan wares. The surface displays an extensive network of pronounced crackle throughout, complemented by scattered brown iron spots that add visual character. The rounded shoulders rise to a short cylindrical neck, while the lower body tapers gently toward the recessed base. The restrained monochrome palette and deliberate crackled glaze give the vase an understated archaistic appearance associated with celebrated Song dynasty ceramic traditions.
