πŸ†” Inventory Code INV1538 Ⓜ️ Material Porcelain 🏳️ Origin Chinese πŸ›οΈ Period 20th Century Β πŸ…‚ SubjectTeapot 🏷️ Marked Unmarked πŸ“œ Description

A charming and authentic Chinese porcelain teapot, dating to the Late Qing Dynasty (20th century), likely from the transitional Tianqi/Chongzhen period. Decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with expressive calligraphic-style floral and abstract motifs, this small teapot is fitted with loop handles around the shoulder β€” typical of travel or utilitarian wares of the era.

The glaze shows a soft creamy hue, typical of early export porcelain, with firing imperfections and potting irregularities that are consistent with Late Ming kiln practices. The footrim is unglazed with visible chatter marks, and a typical central spur mark remains on the base.
