DESCRIPTION

An authentic Chinese export porcelain plate dating to the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. Decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with a detailed river landscape featuring pagodas, bridges, trees, and figures in a traditional Chinese setting. The border displays dense floral and geometric ornament in classic export style. The plate has a shallow form with broad decorative rim. A decorative and collectible example of 18th century Chinese blue and white porcelain.

COLLECTOR’S NOTE

Chinese export porcelain from the Qianlong era was widely produced for European markets during the 18th century.
