CONDITION

FAIR/RESTORED (2/5) – Broken and restored with visible glued repair and crack lines extending through the rim and body. Hairline on the base. Wear to enamels and gilding consistent with age. Please review the photos carefully for more details.

DESCRIPTION

An attractive Chinese export porcelain plate decorated in underglaze blue, famille rose enamels, and gilt highlights.

The central scene depicts a fisherman beside a lakeside pavilion with willow trees, distant buildings, and a boat on the water.

The border is richly ornamented with floral motifs, diaper panels, and decorative cartouches in iron red, blue, and gilt.

The combination of landscape painting and vibrant border decoration is characteristic of 18th century Qing export wares.

Despite restoration, the plate displays well and retains strong decorative appeal.
