The shoulders feature a band of vertical lappets below the cover. The base bears a Qing mark, typical of Republic Period revival wares.
Collectorβs Notes: Prunus (plum blossom) symbolises resilience, renewal, and perseverance, flowering in winter before all others. This motif became especially popular during the late Qing and Republic periods, when classic designs were reinterpreted for both domestic and export markets. Ginger jars of this size are prized for their decorative balance and strong visual impact.
