📜 Description Fine Chinese Porcelain Cup & Saucer decorated in classic Blue & White underglaze cobalt, depicting a lively
Western Hunting Scene.The saucer shows mounted Horsemen, one drawing a bow while riding, with additional
figures in a landscape setting.The cup continues the narrative with similar figural decoration, complemented by
simple floral motifs to the interior.The rim is finished with a geometric border typical of export wares of the Kangxi
Period. This type of decoration reflects Chinese export porcelain made for the European market, combining Chinese
craftsmanship with Western subject matter.
Collector’s Notes: During the Kangxi Period, Blue & White Porcelain was highly prized in Europe, and scenes such as hunting
subjects were specially produced for export.
