📜 Description
A large and decorative Qing Guangxu blue & white porcelain bowl painted with lively figural scenes, auspicious symbols, and scrolling floral borders in deep cobalt tones. The underside bears the four-character mark 珍藏仿古 (Zhen Cang Fang Gu), recorded in Davison’s reference as meaning “Precious collection in imitation of the antique.”

The bowl is thinly potted with an elegant wide profile—typical of late Qing revival wares produced in homage to Ming and early Qing masterpieces. Despite its restored state, the artwork remains clear and visually appealing for display.

Collector’s Notes: Late 19th-century Guangxu blue & white pieces imitating earlier dynastic styles are an important category for collectors studying historic revival trends. Bowls of this size (over 26 cm) with figural decoration remain desirable for reference and interior display even when restored.
