DESCRIPTION

Chinese porcelain baluster vase decorated with colorful famille verte style floral sprays and scattered blossoms on a crackled white glaze ground. The vase features a gently flared neck with decorative red and green border banding. Bright enamel colors contrast attractively against the pale crackled surface. The underside bears a red seal mark. A decorative modern Chinese porcelain example inspired by Qing dynasty famille verte wares.

COLLECTOR’S NOTE

Famille verte porcelains became especially popular during the Kangxi period and remain widely collected for their vivid enamel palette and refined decorative themes. Crackled glaze surfaces were often used to imitate older ceramic traditions while adding visual texture. Modern examples continue to reflect the influence of classical Chinese export and scholar ceramics.
