DESCRIPTION

Chinese porcelain baluster form vase with matching domed cover in underglaze cobalt blue decoration. The body is painted with large floral blooms and scrolling foliage framed by geometric key fret and wave borders. The cover is topped with a finial knop and continues the floral decoration. The piece displays an intentionally rustic kiln finish with visible speckling and crackled glaze effects. Decorative and functional display piece in traditional Qing revival style.
