CONDITION
GOOD (4/5) – Surface scratches and light abrasions to the cabochon, with minor irregularities around its lower edge. The silver mount shows tarnishing, scratches and slight unevenness to the rim and claws. Yellowish residue is visible in parts of the setting. Please review the photos carefully for more details.
DESCRIPTION
Small Chinese silver pendant featuring a polished oval malachite cabochon with bands of light and dark green. The prominently domed stone is held by four claws above a pierced gallery with curved and vertical openings. An open reverse exposes the underside of the stone. A tapered silver bail connects through a circular suspension loop. Offered without a chain.
COLLECTOR’S NOTE
The compact proportions and raised cabochon emphasise the malachite’s concentric green banding, while the pierced setting adds detail to the sides.
