📜 Description This finely modelled Ming Dynasty pottery head depicts a stylized boar or pig, a subject
sometimes associated with agricultural abundance and symbolic protection in early Chinese
funerary art. Moulded in buff clay with carefully incised details around the snout and eyes.

Collector’s Notes:
During the Ming Dynasty, miniature animal figures were commonly placed in tombs to ensure prosperity in
the afterlife. This small but expressive example captures the realism and spirit characteristic of Ming
sculptural art.
