DESCRIPTION

Chinese porcelain saucer finely painted in underglaze blue.

The central scene depicts a lady and attendant boy in a garden setting beneath a tree.

The rim is decorated with alternating Daoist emblems reserved against the white ground.

The underside bears a four-character mark within a double circle.

A charming small Qing period saucer with traditional figural decoration.

Blue and white wares of the Kangxi period are highly regarded for their refined painting and crisp cobalt decoration.
