The central scene depicts a lively bird standing among rocks, flowering plants, and a stylized tree, a traditional composition symbolizing harmony and nature. The cavetto is framed with alternating floral sprays, while the faceted rim enhances the elegant octagonal form.
The cobalt tone is rich and varied, showing typical tonal depth of Kangxi wares. Subtle traces of gilt embellishment remain visible in areas of the border decoration.
The reverse reveals historic staple repairs along a hairline crack, a traditional method used to preserve valued ceramics.
