📜 Description
Chinese carved wood display stand finished in a deep reddish-brown tone.The openwork sides are
carved in a stylized rock or cloud-like form, designed to securely support the feet of a Jade or scholar’s rock
sculpture. The recessed top provides stable placement while enhancing visual elevation.

Collector’s Notes:
Such stands were essential accessories in the scholar’s studio during the late Qing Dynasty and
Republic Period. Carefully carved wooden bases enhanced the presentation of valued objects such as Jade
carvings and Gongshi (scholar’s rocks), and are collected today both for their craftsmanship and functional
elegance.
