πŸ“œ Description
Chinese Bronze tripod Censer of traditional form with two upright loop handles and three stout legs. The compressed globular body is engraved with stylised archaistic motifs and linear detailing.

The base bears a recessed panel containing a six-character Xuande reign mark, referencing the famous Ming dynasty emperor renowned for fine bronze censers. The mark is apocryphal and the piece is a later decorative example produced in the 20th Century in the classical style.

Interior shows natural dark patination and casting texture consistent with modern decorative bronzes. A solid and decorative incense burner suitable for display.

Collector’s Notes: Xuande marked censers are among the most celebrated forms in Chinese bronze art. Many later pieces bear the imperial mark in tribute to the revered Ming originals. Such tripod censers with loop handles reflect ancient ritual bronze shapes, combining historical reference with decorative appeal.
