DESCRIPTION

A characterful vintage Arthur Wood Royal Bradwell Sports Series ceramic tankard decorated with period rugby scenes. The amber glazed body features black transfer printed players in action, including tackling and running scenes with rugby goal posts and spectators in the background. Silver tone borders, a raised beaded band and a black handle with silver tone terminals provide an attractive contrast to the warm amber ground. The underside carries the Sports Series Royal Bradwell Arthur Wood Made in England factory mark. An appealing piece of British sporting pottery with strong decorative character.
