DESCRIPTION

Fine Chinese export porcelain cup dating to the Qianlong period of the 18th century.

Beautifully painted in the Mandarin palette with elegant courtly figures gathered in a garden landscape.

The decoration includes bridges, pavilions, ornamental fencing, and gilt-framed reserves featuring chickens and floral motifs.

The finely executed enamels and extensive gilding reflect the quality associated with higher-grade export porcelain.

A scarce survival from the period, retaining strong visual appeal despite restoration.

Eighteenth-century Mandarin export porcelains were luxury goods produced for wealthy European clients and are among the most sought-after categories of Chinese export ware.
