🏷️ Marked The base bears an apocryphal six-character reign mark in iron-red: 大明成化年製 (“Made in the Chenghua period of the Great Ming”), in keeping with the Japanese tradition of referencing admired Chinese wares.

📜 Description
A fine Japanese porcelain bowl with a delicately moulded petal-shaped rim, the interior richly decorated in overglaze enamels with alternating panels of the auspicious Chinese character “壽” (Shou, longevity) and pomegranate fruits, each symbolizing abundance, fertility, and long life. The center features a floral motif enclosed within a double red ring. The white glaze is subtly embossed with curved wave-like scrolls.
