📜 Description
Fine Japanese Porcelain saucer decorated in traditional Imari colors of underglaze Blue & White with overglaze iron red and gilt. The interior features a central floral medallion surrounded by scrolling flowers and foliage, finely outlined with gilding. The reverse shows a pale celadon-toned glaze typical of late Meiji export wares.

Collector’s Notes: Arita Imari wares from the Meiji Period were highly sought after for export to Europe and the West. The combination of vivid iron red, cobalt blue, and restrained gilding reflects the refined aesthetic of late 19th-century Japanese porcelain, making this piece a desirable example for collectors of Asian ceramics.
