📜 Description
A richly enamelled antique Japanese porcelain plate from the Meiji period, likely produced in the famed Arita kilns.
The scalloped rim and vibrant palette mark it as a classic example of Imari ware. The central panel features a stylized
blue vase or flower basket filled with orange and red peony blossoms.

The back is sparsely but elegantly decorated with underglaze blue floral sprays along the rim, echoing earlier styles
from the Edo period.

📚 Collector’s Note
Plates of this kind were often made for both domestic and export markets during the Meiji period. The combination of
underglaze blue, iron-red, and gold enamelling is typical of Arita-Imari wares from the late 19th century, embodying
Japan’s transition into modern production while retaining the charm of Edo aesthetics.
