DESCRIPTION

A finely decorated English porcelain plate by Myott, Staffordshire, featuring the popular Chelsea Bird pattern. The center displays a brightly colored exotic bird within a floral setting, surrounded by four reserves with similar bird scenes. The deep red border is richly embellished with gilt detailing and delicate ornament. The balanced composition with vibrant enamels. A classic decorative cabinet or table piece.

COLLECTOR’S NOTE

The Chelsea Bird pattern draws inspiration from 18th century English porcelain designs, particularly Worcester and Chelsea factories.
