DESCRIPTION

Carved from pale tea-colored rock crystal with a contrasting white inclusion skillfully utilized to form the decorative subject.

The front depicts a young boy riding an elephant while holding a vase, a popular auspicious motif in Chinese art.

A ruyi-form element appears beside the figure, enhancing the symbolic composition.

The reverse is delicately engraved with a flowering prunus branch.

Well hollowed and fitted with a pink glass stopper.
