DESCRIPTION
Delicate Chinese porcelain wine cup or small beaker with flared rim and thin potted body.
Decorated in famille rose enamels in the Qianjiang manner with a graceful lady standing beside a flowering tree.
The reverse bears a line of calligraphy executed in dark enamel.
Soft pastel tones and refined brushwork create an elegant scholarly garden scene.
A charming example of early 20th century Chinese export or domestic decorative porcelain.
