COLLECTOR’S NOTE
Staple repairs were commonly used during the 18th and 19th centuries to preserve valuable porcelain pieces rather than discard them. Qianlong period blue and white wares remain highly collectible for their refined painting and durable export porcelain body. Early repaired examples are appreciated for their historical authenticity.
