📜 Description
Finely painted Chinese Porcelain plate decorated in the Famille Rose (Mandarin) palette, depicting elegant court figures within a landscaped terrace setting. The scene shows a seated scholar holding a fan, accompanied by attendants, with boats, trees, and distant pavilions in the background. Rich enamel colors with subtle shading are enhanced by delicate gilt highlights. The border is finely detailed with geometric diaper patterns typical of the Qianlong period.

Collector’s Notes: Mandarin figure wares were highly prized during the Qing Dynasty, especially under the Qianlong Emperor, reflecting ideals of scholarship, refinement, and harmony with nature. Plates of this quality were often made for export to Europe, where they were admired for their narrative scenes and refined enameling.
