The cavetto shows two elegant spring birds perched among pink blossom and floral sprays, enclosed by an iron-red band with six blue-ground ruyi cartouches. The border is finished with scattered flowers, ribbon-like scrolls, and a brown gilt edge. The palette is especially light and refined, with unusual strawberry-pink tones contrasted by soft lime, yellow, turquoise, and pale aubergine enamels.

Collector’s Notes: Early Qing Yongzheng wares are admired for their balanced design, thinly potted body, and elegant enamel painting. This plate shows the restrained yet experimental taste associated with early Famille Rose, where very soft pinks and fresh translucent colors were being explored. The flowering branches and birds evoke renewal and the arrival of spring, while the ruyi motifs and scrolling ornaments add auspicious decorative meaning valued by collectors of Qing Dynasty export and domestic porcelain. 🔍 Condition
