📜 Description
Fine Chinese Porcelain  Blue & White underglaze cobalt. The central scene depicts Lady Magu, the revered Daoist Immortal, shown standing within a garden setting holding a basket, surrounded by blooming flowers and rocks.

The composition includes large peony blossoms, symbolic plants, and a distant riverside pavilion, all enclosed within a decorative inner border. The rim is richly adorned with alternating panels of fruit, flowers, and geometric motifs typical of Qing Export Porcelain from the Qianlong Dynasty.

The reverse features simple floral sprigs and a neatly finished foot rim, consistent with 18th Century export wares.

Collector’s Notes: Magu is a well-known Daoist goddess associated with longevity, healing, and celebration. She is often depicted carrying flowers or a basket symbolizing vitality and blessings. Scenes of Lady Magu were popular during the Qianlong period, especially for export markets, where such imagery conveyed auspicious meanings of long life and prosperity. Plates featuring Blue & White Porcelain with figural subjects are particularly sought after by collectors.
