📜 Description
Chinese Porcelain saucer decorated in the vibrant Famille Rose palette, featuring a central medallion with stylised phoenix and crane birds surrounded by floral sprays. The design is enhanced with fine gilt outlines and an elegant border of scrolling foliage and blossoms. This type of brightly enameled ware was especially popular with the Nyonya / Peranakan community in Southeast Asia during the late Qing period.

Collector’s Notes: Phoenix and crane motifs symbolise harmony, longevity, and high status. Tongzhi period Famille Rose wares are appreciated for their lively enamels and transitional style following the earlier Qianlong tradition, making them desirable to collectors of Qing Dynasty export and Peranakan porcelain.
