DESCRIPTION

A miniature Chinese porcelain vase decorated in iron red over a clean white ground. The compact baluster form rises from a small circular foot to a narrowed neck and gently flared mouth. Its main decorative register consists of repeating stylized stiff leaves outlined and finely hatched in iron red, framed by geometric and linear borders. A bold key pattern encircles the lower body, giving the small vase a balanced and strongly graphic appearance. An attractive decorative example suitable for a collection of Chinese miniature porcelain.
