DESCRIPTION

A finely painted Chinese porcelain cup and saucer decorated in vibrant Famille Rose enamels with extensive gilt decoration. The saucer features a central medallion depicting a standing female figure associated with the Queen Mother of the West. Surrounding the scene are floral cartouches and dense chrysanthemum scrolls reserved on a rich gilt ground. The cup is similarly decorated with floral reserves and matching enamels in pink, green, blue, and iron red tones. A delicate Qing Dynasty tea set with strong decorative appeal.

Scenes depicting the Queen Mother of the West symbolize longevity, immortality, and celebration in Chinese decorative arts.
