📜 Description
A striking antique Chinese silver panel decorated in high relief with a pair of five-clawed dragons chasing a central flaming pearl, a powerful symbol of cosmic energy, wisdom, and imperial authority. The dragons are finely detailed with scaly bodies, flaming whiskers, and clawed limbs, coiled around the front surface in dynamic symmetry.
This narrow silver object is lightly curved and closed at both ends, suggesting it may have functioned as a pen or brush holder, or possibly as a decorative plaque or blade guard. The quality of the chasing and repoussé work indicates skilled craftsmanship, likely from a late Qing or early Republic workshop. A silver hallmark is visible near the base (see last image).
