An unusual 19th-century porcelain figure top modelled in the form of Napoleon’s iconic bicorne hat. Moulded in a stylised three-cornered shape with strong ridged crests, the surface is hand-painted in matte and gloss black glazes with brownish undertones simulating wear to felt or leather. The base interior is hollow and unglazed, possibly once sealed with a fitted lid or mounted as a novelty container.
