📜 Description A finely moulded Chinese Yixing Zisha teapot modelled as a naturalistic lotus pod, formed from blueish-green clay and applied with buff-coloured lotus seeds set across the body. The teapot is raised on sculptural lotus stem and water chestnut supports, with a lotus leaf spout and handle integrated into the organic form. The cover is surmounted by a charming frog-on-leaf finial, a signature motif associated with works after Jiang Rong. Collector’s Notes: Jiang Rong (1919–2008) is among the most celebrated masters of the Yixing tradition, renowned for her lifelike botanical and naturalistic designs. Teapots inspired by her models are highly sought after by collectors for their sculptural quality, symbolism, and mastery of Zisha clay. The lotus represents purity and harmony, while the frog symbolizes prosperity and renewal.
