A lovely antique English creamware teapot lid decorated in relief with a woven basket design and topped with a charming flower bud finial. The surface displays a creamy glaze with natural age toning and firing imperfections consistent with early 19th-century earthenware.

Collector’s Notes: This type of lid would have belonged to a teapot or covered sugar bowl from the Staffordshire or Leeds region. The basketweave moulding was a popular motif during the Georgian and Regency periods, often seen on domestic tea services and tablewares.
