Fitted with a matching agate stopper.
Poetic Inscription:
松风岭上云石径去风得意马蹄疾

“Clouds drift above the pine-covered ridge.Along the stone path the wind moves freely. The spirited horse’s hooves hasten onward.”
COLLECTOR’S NOTE
Horse subjects are among the most popular themes found on Chinese snuff bottles, symbolizing strength, vitality, and success. Agate bottles carved from contrasting color layers were highly prized during the Qing Dynasty, with artisans skillfully incorporating the natural markings of the stone into the design. The poetic inscription complements the landscape theme and enhances the scholarly character of the piece.
