📜 Description
Fine Chinese Porcelain plate decorated in the Imari palette with underglaze Blue & White painting and iron-red and Gilt enamels. The design features floral sprays and stylized baskets with Peony blossoms arranged in shaped reserves divided by bold underglaze blue panels with gilt scrolling. The reverse shows simple floral sprays in underglaze blue and iron red.

Collector’s Notes: Pieces in the Kangxi style are prized for their elegant balance of cobalt blue with iron-red and gilding. The peony symbolizes prosperity and honor in Chinese decorative arts. This example shows characteristics associated with early export wares, and the visible repairs suggest a historically used table object often termed a “married” plate.
