DESCRIPTION
Chinese porcelain plate painted in underglaze cobalt blue against a pale white ground. The decoration depicts a lakeside landscape with pagodas, pavilions, rocky outcrops and lotus plants. Delicate linear brushwork and tonal blue washes define the architecture and shoreline, creating a balanced scenic composition. The reverse is plain, with an unmarked base.
COLLECTOR’S NOTE
The lake landscape combines architectural and botanical details that reward close inspection. Its cobalt brushwork and scenic decoration offer particular interest to collectors of early Qing blue and white porcelain.
